We've come so far, but we've got so far to go.
So, here's the plan.
In order to make this dream a reality, we'll need to put even more time, money, and heart into the creation of the Kineticards brand. Our to-do list includes:
Develop an app with a web-based library
Expand the Kineticards design collection
- Purchase materials to print and package cards
- Obtain licenses to publish and maintain the app
- Build relationships with wholesale buyers
- Invest in POP displays for in-store experiences
- Build & advertise an online Kineticards storefront
- Engage an audience through social media

» Develop an app with a web-based library
To be able to keep the collection growing without limitation, it is important to establish a system where new designs can be added to the Kineticards app without requiring users to update often. This means we'll need to build a library on the web and connect it to the app rather than letting the information live internally. The expenses will be higher up front, but they open up the potential for a much bigger outreach, including custom one-time projects such as party invitations, art installations, business materials, and other interactive content for companies and individuals.
» Expand the Kineticards design collection
One of our biggest goals is to target a larger audience with a more diverse collection of cards. There are subscription costs required to own the software for illustrating and animating each new design, as well as labor costs for paying artists to create the work. To reach our goal, we'd love to team up with freelance designers/animators to help create a wider selection of products, and also expand our network by connecting with those artists' followers. Freelancers will sign contracts to work with the Kineticards company, and in turn, we'll be able to give more cards to more people.

» Purchase materials to print and package cards
Kineticards should feel special from the moment they're seen by their senders, purchased, written inside, and sealed up for delivery — all the way until they're opened and viewed by their receivers. High-quality materials and packaging are key. We're talking paper, ink, plastic sleeves, stickers, envelopes, and whatever else is necessary to make these cards feel as meaningful as they should.
» Obtain licenses to publish and maintain the app
Software can be expensive, but we can't build or publish our product without it. There are separate costs required to own the programs and licenses for: designing an app, running augmented reality technology in an app, housing a library of stored videos online, and releasing our product on Apple and Android app stores. It will also be necessary to test the app on all different devices to make sure that every user can view their Kineticards properly, which will take time and money as well.
» Build relationships with wholesale buyers
We would love to see our cards in stores everywhere, so people of all ages and interests can enjoy the experience that Kineticards bring. » Invest in POP displays for in-store experiences
Kineticards are not like other average greeting cards, and it's absolutely crucial that they are not mistaken for them. Our goal is to install interactive displays in select stores that will invite people to pick up different Kineticards off the shelves and watch them come to life right before their eyes. We believe that these experiences will spark more sales, but in order to provide them, we'll need the funds to make it all possible.
» Build & advertise an online Kineticards storefront
For those who prefer to make purchases from the comfort of their couches, or for anyone else who doesn't live near a supported Kineticards seller, we still want to make sure that everyone can get their hands on our products. There are costs associated with maintaining digital storefronts, but it's worth it for the bigger brand reach. In order to gain traffic and keep the site growing with new customers, we'll also need to invest in effective advertisements for targeted audiences online.
» Engage an audience through social media
Help us get started by following along with @Kineticards on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter! We would love for our audience to stay connected with the brand on all different platforms and engage with our online presence freely. Once we hit the market, we also want users to fill the internet with their own #Kineticards media — taking photos, recording videos, and sharing it all for the world to see. Finally, we plan invest in paid reach campaigns across Facebook and Instagram, so our #Kineticards community can continue to grow and strengthen.
